We had a super fun day out with friends (see pic for yesterday). We went to eat at Max Brenner in Caesar's Palace, then shopping. Afterwards, me and the dog went to hang out in our friend's pool. Luke LOVED it! He was a little scared at first, but then I think he enjoyed being in a pool! I am also including a picture of the yummy dessert we had at Max Brenner's - chocolate egg rolls with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce. This place is famous for their amazing desserts, so if you come visit- I'll take you there! hint, hint!

It's a little early, but I got a birthday card in the mail today from Southwest Airlines. They send me one every year and I never really paid it much attention. This year however, I just got to thinking about it. I am torn between thinking it's a great idea- it's a nice touch, makes me think highly of the airline that they "remembered", and the costs are probably nominal. On the other hand, I think "Why not just save however many thousands of dollars you spend sending these out and keep airfares low? I'm torn.....

Found these little gems at the Commissary on the International Aisle. Oh. My. Gosh. Best chocolate cookies I've ever eaten. I would recommend you try to find them in your neighborhood store! :) They're French..... Of course, now I'm completely addicted to them!

Got up way early today to walk the dog. Not only did I get to see this beautiful sunrise, but it was so much cooler so early in the morning- in the 70's... I might get up early more often!

This TV is dead to me. That's why it's sitting in the guest room, unplugged, and useless. We bought this TV almost 7 years ago and the lamp inside that makes the picture show up has gone out FOUR times in those 7 years. Ridiculous! Other than the lamp (that last went out about 1 year ago), it's a great TV. We finally decided that rather than put another chunk of money into a new lamp, we would just bite the bullet and get a new TV. Yeah! Hopefully we have better luck with the new TV. 2 of our friends have the same TV as our old one- bought roughly around the same time and their bulbs have yet to go out. I think we just had a lemon.... :(

So, I am girl who loves pizza. I could eat it every single day. So, I was so happy to see this pizza restaurant near my house. I thought this was a home-town pizza place near where I grew up. Turns out it's a chain and there are several in Vegas! Yippee! :)

I have a new favorite place here in Vegas to buy fresh cut flowers - Fresh & Easy. I got all these flowers for $6!!!

My newest most favorite-ist thing. :) Our house is 75 % stone floors and it was such a pain to swiffer or "mop". So, I bought a steam mop. And...... I love it! Makes the job of cleaning floors so much easier! And it only uses water- no cleaner to buy ever again! :)

We've had some unusual weather here in Vegas. For the past week it's been overcast and has actually thundered and rained several times. Although it pretty much just rains dirt here and just manages to coat cars, windows and patio furniture with dust, but we've still been enjoying the thunder and rain. Today there was a beautiful double rainbow. The 2nd rainbow is above the easier to see one and is kind of faint.

Today we went to a spur- of - the - moment baseball game. The team is the Las Vegas 51's. They are not a "professional" team but a minor league- I think? Anyway, it was fun. Their mascot is this weird alien thing. I wasn't able to snap a shot of it so I borrowed one from the internet so you could see what this thing looks like! I guess they chose an alien as their mascot since they are the 51's" as in Area 51??
