I made homemade Arrabbiata sauce. It's like a spaghetti sauce but it is spicy and you use roasted red peppers instead of tomatoes. It was quite yummy! :)

Look closely.... see the mist? The hubby installed misters on our back patio. It makes being outside so much more enjoyable in this Vegas heat!

Today we went hiking near Mt. Charleston. We did a 3 mile hike that ended at a waterfall with beautiful views. We even got to "play" in the snow! Hard to believe there is still snow just outside of Vegas in late June.

Our neighbors are a military family and they are moving this weekend. As with most military moves, the movers won't pack certain things.... plants, liquids, alcohol, food, candles, perishables, etc. Our neighbors just gave us 3 plants and a ton of frozen and refrigerated food and this is only some of the alcohol they gave us. We'll have to have a party to drink it all!

We are dog-sitting for a friend. He's cute- but a handful!

We just celebrated our 7th anniversary. Daniel is so creative- the traditional gift for 7 years is copper or wool. He put copper pennies on the box as part of the gift wrap! :) He also cooked dinner for me- yum!

Today we went to the "famous" Pawn Shop as featured on the TV show Pawn Stars. We didn't pawn anything or buy anything or see any of the stars of the show, but it was neat to check out.

So, we decided to check out a local farmer's market today. When we came back to the car to go home, the battery was completely dead. Wouldn't jump, had to replace the battery.
