Ok, so when I downloaded this pic today, I realized it's not very good - you have to look really close to see the main part I was trying to focus on! But, it's the only one I took yesterday of the snow-capped mountain. Oh well. I don't know why, but I am completely awed by the fact there is snow so close to Vegas in Late May.

It's snowing on Mount Charleston right outside of Vegas! Crazy!! And it was in the 60's today!

We had a wonderful, relaxing day. The hubby grilled out and we tried something new. Bak Choy with olive oil, garlic, and proscuitto. Yum!

Rain Clouds in the Desert.

The weather here has been crazy lately. Today it was in the high 60's/ low 70's, very windy and rainy. Not quite what I expected for the middle of May. But I shouldn't complain- I know it will get HOT here soon enough.

I've been missing our garden we had in NM, so we decided to have a potted garden. We have 2 tomato plants and a lemon tree. I hope they do well- I love being able to pick our own fruits/veggies. If it were up to me we would have a lot more, but we decided to see how these do in the desert heat.

We went to a local Mammoth Site. So neat. They found the 2nd largest collection of Mammoth skeletons in the world in Texas.

We went to 2 really neat museums today in the small town where the hubby grew up. One was an old train depot and the other was a WW II POW camp. Who knew that there were thousands of German POW's living in small town Texas during the war. So interesting!

The hubby brought this old poker table back to life - just in time for a poker tournament in the barn in TX. :)
